Hey all, I am a male and I have no symptoms of HPV / Genital Warts, however, recently, my girlfriend who has only had intercourse with me, has discovered she has been diagnosed with HPV / visible genital warts, very mild. I on the other hand have had multiple partners in the past, is it possible that I could have had / have HPV this whole time and never had any symptoms and then passed it on and gave my girlfriend warts? I was tested before we started dating and I was clean as a whistle, however I now understand there is no actual test for HPV for men so it is nearly impossible to detect. I also had my doctor check thoroughly and he was unable to find any visible warts, I guess to make this simple, my question is, even though I have no signs of the virus, could I be carrying the virus and have passed it on to my girlfriend who now has very mild warts? thanks! Atleast the good news is your body can fight the virus off, so she isnt too concerned. And was there anything I could have done to prevent this? thanks for your input in advance
